More than 100 schools will participate in the AIMS Games
More than 100 schools are set to participate in this year’s AIMS Games to be held in the Western Bay of Plenty during September. The 2010 NZCT AIMS Games is a mixed sport event for intermediate and middle school students from all over New Zealand.
Tenmark Nielsen has been taken off a ventilator
16 year old Tenmark Nielsen, the boy who set himself alight two weeks, was taken off a ventilator last week. It is reported that Nielsen will spend another six months in hospital, undergoing a further seven operations.
A teenager survives a 16 storey plunge
A teenager miraculously survived with minor injuries after falling 16 storeys from his family’s Manukau City apartment through a carpark roof on to a concrete floor. The 15-year-old is in a stable condition in Middlemore Hospital, and is believed to have suffered only a broken wrist, a broken rib, a gouged leg and internal injuries.
